Bea and Ezra Ahern grew up knowing they'd always be there for each other. They had to be, or nobody else would: not their abusive step-father, their neglectful mother, and definitely not their father, who was never in the picture. So when Bea runs away from home, her brother Ezra feels left behind--until he finds the secret email account Bea set up so that they could stay connected. Before long, Ezra is forced out of the home as well, and the siblings find solace in sharing their journeys with each other: from new and old romances, to family secrets and, ultimately, learning to trust other people as well as themselves.
